Some bands fly under the radar, and Ciné Palace are one of them, ignored by the music press despite their rich history, forgotten by dictionaries and other encyclopaedias of French rock. It's about time the mistake was put right. And at the same time, to lift part of the veil on its history. A Parisian electric rock band who spoke French, their debut album Cocktail was released in the summer of 1979 on the Philips label, but went completely unnoticed. Despite this misadventure, a second album followed two years later, entitled Rue Camille Niel, again on Philips, but it sold just as poorly. That was the end of the story. But in 2025, Bad Reputation unearthed this treasure trove of feverish rock to do it justice.
