2PM’ is the latest from Pat McManus and he continues to lay down some huge riffs and aggressive Blues. His band has, over the years, worked with all the N. Irish bands of note and you can certainly hear Lizzy influences but no small amount of real talent too. ‘Trouble’ is wicked with a big ‘Braces ‘n’ balls’ feel to it and ‘Voodoo Boogie’ rips along like a goodun’ with John Mcollough’s keyboards giving a wild kick to it all. ‘Addicted To The Rush’ allows McManus’ violin an outing on a slightly country-boogie type of thing but mainly it is Blues, hard and undiluted. Bad Reputation have built quite a roster of bands and these 4 recordings do nothing to hurt their ‘Reputation’.
