CHRISTOPHE AUBERT

CHRISTOPHE AUBERT

Christophe Aubert has always been recognized as one of the finest French guitarists of all time. With his namesake, he shares the distinction of having been the leader of a great French band: Warning.
This Aubert, Christophe, was a sensation in the 80s. Three albums with Warning, one with Plaisir Chromé, accompaniments for legendary singers Johnny Hallyday and Eddy Mitchell), and his only solo album with the evocative title "Rêve d'un Rêve". A multi-instrumentalist (bass, drums, guitars, vocals and keyboards), Christophe enlisted the help of his brother Jérôme for the lyrics and a number of guests, including Warning drummer Gérald Manceau, to demonstrate his prodigious musical skills on every track. Initially released in 1993, the album quickly found its loyal audience, but was hampered by non-existent promotion. It was a "nightmare of a nightmare", since Christophe met his death on the road on August 16, 1994. 30 years later, it was time to pay tribute to this wonderful record, enriched for the occasion with 3 bonus tracks, exclusive photos and one of his last interviews.
