If CASANOVA didn't become a household name on the 90s hard rock scene, it wasn't for lack of good songwriting and the will to succeed.
CASANOVA's roots go back to classic and esteemed German hard rock/heavy metal bands such as MAD MAX and WARLOCK. Behind CASANOVA are familiar names such as singer and guitarist Michael Voss (ex-MAD MAX), who toured Europe with Bonfire, second guitarist Stephen Neumeier (former member of Mosh), drummer and Warlock founder Michael Eurich, who toured with Dio and Judas Priest, and bassist Jürgen Attig, who gained experience with Felix De Luxe and the Rainbirds. Formed in 1990 when WARLOCK super-producer Henry Staroste brought together Michael Voss and Michael Eurich, CASANOVA's debut album eventually sold 170,000 copies. Sticky Sweet is the first single from an album that was enthusiastically received by hard 'n' heavy experts such as Metal Hammer, who gave it a 6/7 rating, declaring CASANOVA, along with PINK CREAM 69, to be the only newcomers from Germany to be able to compete with other international bands
