BLOODY MARY

BLOODY MARY

Bloody Mary was founded in 2005 by guitarist and singer Pierre Fargetton with an ambitious mission: put France back on the map of Rock! Completed by Pol Banon and Micky Leon respectively bassist and drummer, here’s how a three-piece band struggled to come out of the dark, in a country where hard-rock never quite seems to make it under the spotlight.

After a couple of years touring Europe with a self-released E.P. to develop significant stage experience, a debut album entitled “We Rock, You Suck!” hit the French market in 2009 with major scale distributor SEASON OF MIST. On top of being granted with the featuring of metal superstars GUILLAUME BIDEAU (MNEMIC / ONE WAY MIRROR) and BUTCHO (WATCHA), the album received unanimous reviews worldwide and found support in HARD ROCK MAGAZINE.

Since its creation, the trio has powered on and they can now boast a background of over 200 live shows, some with bands as prestigious as URIAH HEEP, BLAZE BAYLEY, AMERICAN DOG, KORITNI, KROKUS, FREEDOM CALL, BLUE COUPE, and WILD T. In June 2010, the band finished second at the nationwide ZICMEUP TOUR 2010, a contest putting in competition 3000 artists with no distinction in genre. That same year, Bloody Mary is also noticed by the crowd at TRIBAL FEST and by ROCK HARD MAGAZINE at the RAISMES FEST.
In July 2011, Bloody Mary was contacted to play as “Very Favorite Band” on the Off scene of SONISPHERE FRANCE where played METALLICA, AIRBOURNE, SLIPKNOT, PAPA ROACH and VOLBEAT just to name a few.

The New Album

In three months, Bloody Mary wrote and recorded "Shoot Me", a second album condensing a wide range of influences to prove that hard-rock still has something new to offer. This opus, recorded and mixed by Guillaume Bideau (Mnemic/One Way Mirror) shows a great evolution, for although crafted in pure rock tradition, it is endowed with a cutting-edge sound and spirit that will definitely make it stand out from other releases of the genre. To clearly announce their international expectations, Bloody Mary also asked Steve Theado, guitarist of American Dog and another very special guest from Australia to collaborate on this album by recording two tracks.
